Devotion
Give Thanks
In the book of Ephesians it says, “always
giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord
Jesus Christ.”
Well with the
upcoming Thanksgiving holiday we all need to obey this scripture verse.
In the same passage it also says that we need sing and make music from
our hearts, well during the holiday we as a people give thanks while
singing the standard “holiday” hymns. What we need to do is sing those
songs, AND mean it all the time. We need to be thankful all the time and
let that thankfulness be known.

Mission Opportunity
Next Summer
The CCYM and the West Virginia Volunteers in Mission (WVVIM) are putting together a special YOUTH mission trip for next summer (2009). At this time in the planning stages, we will be going to either Oregon or the recently flooded areas of Iowa. Tentatively planned for July 2009, it will be 7-10 days of work for the Lord by serving our neighbors in need.
So think about it…Do you want to participate in a mission experience with other youth from you conference? Does your youth group regularly go on a summer mission trip?
